It’s all about balance.

The fundamentals of acupuncture are based on balance in the body and maintaining a clear flow of energy (qi).

What Does Acupuncture Combat?

Chinese medicine revolves around energy (qi). Blocked energy in the body often results in undesirable looks and overall decreased well-being. Luckily, acupuncture can help free up blocked qi. Here are some ways blocked qi manifests in the body and how acupuncture combats it:

BLOATING

According to Chinese medicine, bloating arises from qi blockage, resulting in water retention and excessive mucus production.

CELLULITE ACCUMULATION

When the body is inefficient at metabolism, cellulite and unwanted fat cells accumulate in areas like the inner thighs, lower abdomen, and under arms.

TOXIN AGGREGATION

Toxins aggregate when there is qi blockage. By stimulating blood flow and increasing circulation, toxins can leave the blocked site and circulate to the liver, where it is broken down naturally by the body.

POOR WELL-BEING

With poor diet, sleep, and stress, the circulation of energy through the body becomes compromised.

While the needles are doing their magic, an infrared lamp gently warms the skin and further enhances circulation.

+ Is acupuncture right for me?

We pair acupuncture with every treatment because acupuncture helps clear qi blockages that may be the underlying cause of bloating, weight gain, blemished skin, etc.

+ What acupuncture plan is best for me?

We offer two types of acupuncture -- cosmetic and therapeutic. Each acupuncture session lasts around 60 minutes and it includes cupping, electro-stimulation, and infrared red lamp. We've found that a stand-alone 60 minute acupuncture sesson is the sweet spot for relaxation and therapeutic effect. Because acupuncture is paired with many of our other procedures, the length of your acupuncture plan may also depend on your overall treatment plan.
